Broomfield Primary School in Essex has benefitted from multiple water management installations from Alumasc to complete its brand-new extension. These included Skyline aluminium fascia and soffits, GX pressed aluminium box gutters and Flushjoint aluminium downpipes.
The specification of the integrated ‘Rain to Drain’ Alumasc Skyline and Rainwater ranges came as a result of Alumasc’s highly regarded product offer and strong working relationship with subcontractor on the project, Ipswich based Specialised Fixings Ltd.
John Hemphill, Technical Sales Manager at Alumasc, explained: “Specialised Fixings is one of our Alumasc recommended installers that we have collaborated with on many projects.
“This good working relationship which hinges on a high level of communication and readily available service and support from our products and technical teams, is what ensured we finished this project on time, to the highest specification.
“Meeting deadlines can be a challenge for some ambitious projects, but certainly this year it has been for the whole industry!
John continued: “We are very proud that our Alumasc Technical Services and Technical Sales Managers are able to provide such in depth help and support to our recommended installers and subcontractors, which benefits them out in the marketplace.”
With standard and fully bespoke designs available, Skyline is the ideal solution for use on roofing and gutter interfaces, lending itself perfectly to Broomfield Primary Schools extension. As the range is so customisable, products easily suit both contemporary and traditional architecture and are designed to meet industry standards and exceed expectations in durability and performance.
The Rainwater GX pressed aluminium box gutter comes in three profiles and a choice of sizes and is designed for traditional wet jointing on site. It’s especially suited to applications where high flow capacity gutters are required.
As it is fully compatible with Skyline’s aluminium fascia and soffit system, it provided a logical and seamless solution for this project, that would ensure a flow of all-aluminium products. Gutters are finished with a BBA approved polyester powder coating process in either one of 26 standard factory applied colours, BS or RAL colours, which are available to special order, or a plain mill finish for on-site painting.
Finally, the Aluminium Flushjoint system is developed to enable a completely smooth external appearance when installed. This is achieved with the use of concealed spigots to give a smooth, clean appearance that complements modern building design. The pipes are mounted on brackets to stand clear of the structure. Running outlets can be made to order according to gutter choice and individual project requirements.
