A hygienic sheet has been launched by leading brand Intastop which will provide a hygienic and impact resistant cladding for walls and doors.

I-Gienic sheet, which offers a smooth surface, is pivotal in a range of businesses where infection control and exemplary standards of hygiene are required.

Designed to be quick and easy to install, I-Gienic sheet is simple to deep clean, or clinical clean, due to its smooth impervious and non-porous surface.

There is also the option of a premium hygienic cladding I-Gienic+, which is a white smooth sheet impregnated with antibacterial property Hygienilac.

Done at the time of manufacture it permeates each layer to ensure the product retains its antibacterial protection even if damage should occur. Both I-Gienic and I-Gienic+ are available in 2mm and 2.5mm thickness.

Phil Barsby, Business Development Director commented: “A range of applications can greatly benefit from I-Gienic sheet - from commercial kitchens and food processing areas to laboratories, operating theatres and pharmaceutical areas, the options are endless. Our wide selection of colours allows businesses to co-ordinate and specify protection to suit their interior schemes or brand guidelines whilst delivering unrivalled protection for walls.”

Designed predominantly to be used on walls, I-Gienic sheet is also suitable for doors and, is easy to install. As a superb alternative to tiles, no grouting is required and it can easily be jointed with welding rods, silicone or colour co-ordinated jointing trims for a seamless finish.

“There are many benefits to be reaped by choosing I-Gienic sheet including the hygiene benefits it can clearly bring to so many sectors where the most stringent levels of hygiene are demanded, ”said Phil. “In addition, it is able to support the fundamental outline of building and user protection policies including fire safety, EC hygiene and can significantly reduce maintenance costs due to its durability.”

Intastop’s I-Gienic sheet is class ‘O’ Fire Rated; tested to BS476 Parts 6 & 7 and meets EC Hygiene requirements, food safety regulations and supports guidelines in BS8300:2001. In addition, it is non-porous, chemical resistant and easy to clean which helps to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Phil concluded: “Developed as a viable alternative to on-going maintenance and decoration, wall protection is an ideal solution to maximise a building’s long-term efficiencies and aesthetical appeal to staff and visitors. I-Gienic provides facility managers, building owners and building users with a clean and safe environment, that does not impact on annual maintenance budgets and is visually appealing too.”

I-Gienic sheet is available in a range of bold and vibrant colours and can help to make healthcare establishments more appealing. Such bold colours can help in the care of dementia patients and are an ideal solution to create a feature wall too. Should a more subtle look be required then a range of pastel colours is also available.

Furthermore, high quality pictures, logos, words or murals can be incorporated into I-Gienic sheet allowing corporate branding, inspirational words or other images to give a bespoke look. Digi-print can visually enhance the presentation of an area and allows attractive designs to be utilised in an interior scheme without comprimising cleanliness and hygiene.

For those short on time during building refurbishments or construction projects, Intastop can supply and fit the I-Gienic sheets. It’s expert team can support customers through the whole process from the design through to the fitting phase of any project.
