Installed throughout offices and meeting rooms, First Absolute carpet tiles from modulyss, are proving their durability and versatility at the London offices of investment consultant, Reddington.
One of the Belgian carpet tile manufacturer’s most established designs, First Absolute features a structured loop pile texture with apparently random tonal nuances for a floor that feels dynamic without being too overbearing. A design with a timeless quality, First Absolute is exceptionally versatile and available in a wide-ranging palette of functional colours.
Recognising its versatility, Maris Interiors, specified some 1,700m2 of the carpet tile throughout open-plan offices and meeting rooms, responding to the brief from Reddington for a modern, non-financial feel to the interior. Chosen in the light/mid grey combination of First Absolute 912, the carpet tiles provide an energetic base for the flashes of vibrant blue, pink and yellow used as feature colours on furniture, fixtures and walls throughout the interior.
“First Absolute went up against two other products and won through on its ability to deliver texture and colour at the right price point,” says Jose Mercado, design director, Maris Interiors. “Helping to create a modern feeling interior - certainly less ‘stiff’ than in many financial companies - the carpet tile has already been adopted in schemes for other clients, as after visiting the Reddington office project, they liked it so much they asked for its inclusion.”
Made with 100% Aqualon yarn for lasting colour and permanent stain and fade-resistance in a quality 1/10th gauge loop pile, First Absolute is more than capable of withstanding the demands of corporate interiors. With Back2Back recycled content backing (dBack acoustic backing optional), First Absolute come in 12 tonal colourways and is suitable for use in BREEAM and LEED certified projects.
