New single-fan City Multi unit proves ideal for line of sight project

Mitsubishi Electric has launched new single-fan air conditioning units to offer the market all of the benefits of Variable refrigerant Flow (VRF) in the company’s smallest ever City Multi chassis.

Known as mini-VRF, these systems provide multi-room heating or cooling for projects under 20kW and offer better efficiency, flexibility and controllability when compared to multi-split systems. In today’s congested urban environments, developers face pressure on both equipment costs and limited space, making mini-VRF systems a highly attractive option.

“These new PUMY models are ideal for boutique hotels, retail and high-end, designer outlets, as well as mixed-use buildings, where the siting, noise level and the height of the outdoor unit can sometimes pose a challenge,” explains product specialist, Jordan Jeewood.

“Most importantly, developers can mix and match different indoor units from our M Series, Mr Slim and City Multi VRF range including our stylish new wall-mounted units to provide complete design flexibility and makes the PUMY a great choice for multi-room applications,” adds Jeewood.

Available in 12.5kW, 14kW and 15.5kW, up to 12 indoor units can be connected to the R410A models which are also 10 per cent cheaper than the equivalent double-fan PUMY and offer a 27 per cent reduction in both height and weight.

“The current models are all single phase but we will also have 3-phase models available in May, and they are also able to work with the stylish, coloured MSZ-LN wall-mounted indoor units which makes this a unique offering to the market,” adds Jeewood.

Further details on the complete range of single and double fan mini-VRF systems can be found on the company’s document library, by calling 01707 282880 or emailing airconditioning@meuk.mee.com.
