High security modular panel manufacturer Securiclad has developed an enhanced version of its innovative modular construction system, which is designed to offer an increased level of protection for data centres, Government and utilities infrastructure, and other at-risk locations.
The Securiclad system is now certified up to Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1175 Security Rating (SR) 5, which means that it is designed and manufactured to resist attack by circular saws and reciprocating saws, as well as tools including drills, sledgehammers and disc grinders.
Securiclad’s modular composite panel systems, which also hold certification to Loss Prevention Standards (LPS) 1175 Security Rating (SR) 2, 3 and 4, are used to create secure environments in sites including data centres, water utilities infrastructure, hazardous waste storage facilities, healthcare facilities, financial institutions and retail units.
Securiclad can be used in new buildings or retro-fitted to an existing site, and is pre-finished, negating the need for wet trade requirements. It has both internal and external applications and can be used to form a standalone ‘room’, kiosk or partition. As the system is modular, it is quick and easy to install. It is also entirely bespoke and can be designed to specification.
Securiclad’s managing director, Mike McColl, said: “We are delighted to have developed the LPS 1175 SR5 modular system solution for introduction into the market. In today’s security climate, we believe that it’s critical for organisations to ensure that their facilities have the right level of protection and our LPS 1175 SR5 wall panels expand our existing range of certified solutions.
“They offer an increased level of security and will provide organisations with even greater protection for infrastructure, data, hazardous materials and valuables.
“The development of the SR5 solution is testimony to the innovative approach of the Securiclad team and marks a very significant development for the company.”
This year, Securiclad also launched Ballisticlad, an enhanced ballistic protection system. The Ballisticlad high security panels have achieved ballistic testing to EN1522/23 (1999) FB5 and FB6 ratings, meaning they are certified to withstand firepower from AK47s and other assault rifles.
Securiclad, which is manufactured in North Tyneside, is delivered across the UK and abroad. Securiclad can be offered as a turnkey solution, via approved and certified personnel or on a supply-only basis for contractors who prefer to install the system themselves. Securiclad can also be supplied fully assembled as a smaller kiosk, guard hut or small storage space.
