Brand new portable air-conditioner, the ACT-7, set to be Executive Hire Show show-piece for Calorex and Dantherm. The first machine which has been developed and designed in collaboration between Calorex and Dantherm will be unveiled at this year’s Executive Hire Show. The ACT-7 air conditioner, which will be released later this year, is primarily designed for the small scale commercial temporary cooling market, and has a cooling capacity of 7kW.
Differing from more common air-cooled units, which due to the high room ventilation gains they create are generally used for spot cooling, this unique water cooled product will provide whole room cooling without the need to continually exhaust internal air. 
As an additional bonus, the unit does not require an exhaust air duct to an outside wall. The ACT-7 is supplied complete with a heat reject unit that can be sited up to 30m away from the internal unit and is interconnected by two 22mm flexible, quick connect water pipes.
Portable dehumidifiers on display will be the Calorex Porta-Dry and Dantherm CDT ranges. Porta-Dry’s come in three sizes and are easily manoeuvrable units ideal for construction sites built to endure the toughest of conditions.
During building construction, Porta-Dry’s can be used to accelerate the rate of drying wet processes such as concrete floors and plaster, not only allowing the construction work to proceed more rapidly, but in a way that ensures the drying will not encourage cracking and distortion. Further, concrete floors that are dried by dehumidifiers will always settle at the correct moisture content.
Dantherm mobile CDT dehumidifiers offer quick and easy control for both damage service companies and the restoration industry. The CDT units are renowned for their user-friendliness, superior digital control and light yet robust design.
The CDT 30 and 40 range are also fitted with a 1 kW heating element, a high pressure fan and two duct spigots allowing connection of flexible air ducts. This is particularly suitable for drying out wet wooden floors.
