Warmafloor, the UK’s leading surface heating and cooling specialist, is looking forward to an exciting 2016.
The company will be, amongst others, completing the installation of a major underfloor heating and cooling project at Daedalus, the new business enterprise park in Lee-on-the-Solent, for UTPCO (Universal Tool and Production CO Ltd).
It will also be continuing to work on the prestigious Project 2020 for the Ministry of Defence and deepening its partnerships with Thorn, Kingspan and Cellecta.
Malcolm Jaques, Commercial Manager of Warmafloor, said: "As a company we are looking forward to taking the technology of underfloor heating and cooling to the next level in the year ahead. 2015 has been a very exciting year for us.
"While we have bid a fond farewell to Managing Director Mike Lamb, who worked at Warmafloor for over 30 years, we have taken on new employees and opened a new office in Doncaster to help the company expand and grow its operations in the North of England. The Doncaster team successfully completed a major contract at Waverley Arches, Edinburgh, to develop a unique and tailored heating and cooling solution for 16 of the 19 retail units. We were awarded phase two of Goodman’s Field which saw us continuing our work for Berkeley Homes.
"On the Greenwich Peninsula we have worked with Wates Construction using the new Warmafloor/Cellecta Mojave system, and we are currently installing a new underfloor heating and cooling solution at Daedalus, the new business enterprise park in Lee-on-the-Solent, for UTPCO.
“We have been awarded two contracts with Essential Living, this being two exciting projects at Archway Towers and Berkshire House. Both of these projects have been utilising the section developed at the London Olympic Park Athlete’s Village and incorporate our latest TICS Modular control technology. The new team at the Doncaster office have been involved with this project and it is a great example of how our new venture in this region has begun to bring new and innovative projects to the forefront of Warmafloor’s new business outreach.
"In September, we were invited to meet with representatives of the Department of Energy and Climate Change to discuss how underfloor heating and cooling can help our building stock become more energy efficient as well as preventing overheating.
“In the year ahead we are excited to be continuing our working on the significant Project 2020 for the Ministry of Defence. We also look forward to implementing the great projects we have started with Thorn, Kingspan and Cellecta. While we will continue to focus on high rise resi, schools and medical facilities, this year we will also help our parent organisation, Wavin, to develop project selling within the wider Wavin business.”
