Redland is adding a new dark Charcoal Grey colour to two of its most popular tiles: Grovebury and MockBond Mini Stonewold. The colour is aimed mainly at the North of England and Scotland where the market demand is strongest for dark grey tiles.
To achieve this shade the tiles are produced from a grey through-coloured concrete over which an acrylic paint finish is applied to all surfaces. The result is a much darker grey than can be achieved with pigmentation alone.
Grovebury and MockBond Mini Stonewold are particularly popular choices for new housebuilding where the combination of cost-effective concrete and the speed of installation that comes with an interlocking tile is always attractive. The classic double pantile shape of Grovebury gives a gentle flowing profile while MockBond Mini Stonewold provides the look of a small format slate that can be used on pitches as low as 17.5o.
