From the 1st July 2014 it is mandatory for all sealants covered in the European standard EN 15651 to be CE marked according to their application and properties. This legislation means that it will be illegal to manufacture sealants and sell within the EU without the relevant CE marking.
To comply with these new regulations, Sika Everbuild have been working hard to add the required CE panel onto all appropriate packaging and labels as defined by the standard. In addition to this, Declaration of Performance certificates for all affected products will be available to view on the relevant product pages of the Everbuild website from the 1st July 2014.
Products manufactured before 1st July 2014 that do not have CE Marking may still be delivered to customers after the 1st July. These will still be eligible for resale or use.
Please rest assured that as the UK’s leading Sealant, Adhesive and Construction Chemical Manufacturers Sika Everbuild have everything in place to ensure that they are fully compliant and can guarantee that anything purchased from the 1st July 2014 will be fully certified for Factory Production Control (FPC).
For more information on CE Marking or if you have any questions on products affected please contact your local Everbuild Sales Representative or our dedicated Technical Helpline at: techservices@everbuild.co.uk.
