Abacus Healthcare received significant levels of interest from healthcare professionals regarding its new, Aquanova baths launched recently at Naidex National.
Unveiled on their stand, the new Gemini and Aries baths now offer even greater levels of care, performance and durability.
Innovative technology now means that each model is whisper quiet which, together with a barely noticeable smooth raise and lower function, allows a more relaxing bathing experience for bathers and carers.
Part of the popular Aquanova series, the second generation Gemini has been fully re-engineered with upgraded platform and bath height adjustment. It’s integrated variable-height platform, delivers a 3-in-1 solution for bathing, drying and changing so transfer times are reduced and moving and handling risks are minimised.
Alongside the Gemini, the Abacus team was able to demonstrate the new Aries bath, which is designed for use with ceiling track systems and in high traffic care environments with multiple occupancy.
Gordon Farmiloe, Care in Bathing Managing Director commented: “We were delighted with the high levels of enquiries received at Naidex National in relation to the latest generation of Aquanova baths. The Abacus team was busy throughout the event providing practical demonstrations and offering guidance where needed. It was certainly encouraging to receive such a positive response from visitors and we feel confident this new range will continue to grow in popularity.”
As part of the Care in Bathing Group, Abacus Healthcare shares a 30-year heritage in assisted bathing and works closely with healthcare professionals to support the needs of disabled adults and children in domestic, educational and residential care settings. In addition to its assistive baths, Abacus offers a range of hoisting systems, sanitary ware and postural supports so that individual user needs are always met.
In addition to the baths showcased on its stand, Alan Waddell, Abacus National Sales Manager, presented an informative seminar in the Soap Box Theatre at Naidex National. This session entitled: “The importance of bathroom design and reducing the risk to bather and care-giver during transfer”, detailed the key criteria to be considered when specifying an assisted bathroom in a range of settings.
