Boris Johnson has launched a £60m fund to help improve the quality and choice of housing available for older and disabled people in London.
The Care and Support Specialised Housing Fund will deliver purpose built homes in line with the Mayor's high standards of design as already outlined in the London Plan.
The investment, which is sponsored by the Department of Health, forms a key part of the next stage of the Mayor’s ‘Housing Covenant’. It is hoped that the fund will improve Londoners’ housing options while boosting jobs and growth in the capital's construction industry.
