EnviroVent, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of sustainable ventilation systems, has launched its exciting new energiSava 200 heat recovery product at Ecobuild 2016.
The company is also showcasing its innovative new Aug Vent app, which uses Augmented Reality to enable an interior designer or specifier to clearly visualise what an extract fan would look like in the home.

The new energiSava 200 offers a neat and innovative solution for housebuilders to meet System 4 of Building Regulations Part F requirements. It is a high performance heat recovery unit that delivers up to 90% thermal efficiency. The energiSava 200 is SAP Appendix Q eligible, making it an attractive choice for housebuilders. The compact, lightweight design of the energiSava 200, plus its energy efficiency properties, mean it is ideal for small to medium size houses and apartments. It is extremely straightforward to install and capable of being fitted on the wall, floor or ceiling.
The energiSava 200 works by extracting moisture laden air and re-supplying clean, fresh air into a property to ensure a property is correctly ventilated at all times to control condensation and improve indoor air quality. Incorporating Intellitrac® Technology, the unique humidity tracking controls means the unit runs continuously on trickle, providing all year round healthy indoor air quality. No user intervention is required, as these clever automatic controls constantly monitor the average humidity level over a two minute period. This allows the system to sense any rise in humidity and increases the extract rate in direct correlation to quietly and efficiently controlling condensation. Once the humidity falls, the extract rate tracks back down again, saving energy.
Fitted with an automatic mechanical summer bypass facility, it controls the temperature of the incoming air on warmer days and the frost sensor protects the unit during the colder months.
In addition, to optimise usability, the unit comes with an innovative remote control to change the airflow speed and also indicates when the unit requires the filters to be changed.
Housebuilders are increasingly choosing MVHR systems because they are one of the most effective ways of ventilating a property to achieve Part F requirements and improve SAP ratings.
Extremely easy to use, Aug Vent features a visualisation marker which can be focused on the wall of the bathroom or kitchen, or anywhere in the home. All the user needs to do is to choose the ventilation units which they would like to see in Augmented Reality then scan the marker and the extract fan or ventilation system will appear on the image of the wall. The 3D capabilities allow the image to be rotated 360°, so that users can see the unit from a wide range of angles. Installers can use the app to help their customers choose the colour or the trim if this option is available and an image can be taken of each fan in situ so that they can be compared against each other before making the final decision.
