Bison Manufacturing has won a contract to supply a significant quantity of its market-leading precast concrete components for the construction of a new children’s hospital in Liverpool.
Led by main contractor Laing O’Rourke, the project to build a new, updated Alder Hey Children’s Hospital will see Bison provide large volumes of columns, beams, stairs and walls together with 25,000m² of Hollowcore flooring for its multi storey car park, offering a total of 1190 spaces for families, visitors and staff.
Installation of Bison’s components is due to be completed by August 2014.
Edward Jones, Project Manager at Bison Manufacturing, said: “We’re extremely pleased to have been appointed to this project. Our extensive car park and healthcare experience will enable us to deliver high quality components within the allotted timeframes.”
Bison has been specified for a number of car park projects in the healthcare sector, including a recently completed multi storey car park at University Hospital Llandough, Penarth.
