The European Eco-Design Directive - the ErP Directive - will impose strict requirements across the EU on the energy efficiency of glandless pumps starting in 2013.
Old, uncontrolled pumps will from then, no longer be allowed on merchants shelves.
The “Wilo-Yonos PICO offers a future-proof solution as the Yonos meets the requirements of the ErP Directive for 2013 and already complies with the even stricter requirements that come into force in 2015.
The "Wilo-Yonos PICO" consumes significantly less energy than required by the best current ‘A’ rated heating pump.
Compared to an uncontrolled old pump, it is possible to achieve up to 90% reductions in electricity consumption – that’s an energy cost saving of around £85 a year.
It’s available now from merchants in all the sizes that are commonly encountered on the market.
