The versatility of MIB’s MetSIP panel was superbly illustrated by their work at the new Brent Civic Centre in north west London.
The scheme called for a faceted, six-storey atrium as part of the overall structure and the MIB Framespace product, designed and manufactured at their own Welsh based factory and carrying a BREEAM+ rating, was one of very few panels of its kind able to do the job.
The main contractor was Skanska but MIB’s involvement came about as a result of close liaison with the global construction giant Yuanda (UK) Ltd.
Project Manager, Matt Dunham said: “I would personally like to thank Dean Bennett and Charley Piggott. Their collective attentiveness and commitment to stick to our agreements has made what was potentially a difficult and complex package appear relatively straight forward.”
Framespace Structures Ltd are part of the MIB Group, which has offices in Cardiff and Cheshire.
Sales and Technical Manager Dean Bennett added: “With total control over design and manufacture, we were able to deliver exactly what the architect wanted in his vision for what we believe will become an iconic building in this part of London.”
