Following on from the successful launch of its Q&E shrink-fit plumbing system and a sharp increase in enquiries, Uponor UK has launched an online platform for installers to access further information about the range as well as practical demonstration videos.
The revolutionary new jointing system relies on the memory of Uponor’s PEX pipe and uses a specialist tool to rapidly expand the diameter of the pipe and Q&E ring to secure the fitting. The subsequent joint shrinks to become watertight within seconds.
Mark Dowdeswell, plumbing application manager for Uponor UK, comments: “We’re delighted by the positive response we have received across the industry to our Q&E range. In order to support prospective customers and those who have started using the system, we have launched the Q&E microsite, providing them with an easy access point for product literature and technical assistance.
“The site features in-depth information about the Q&E shrink fit system as well as detailed product videos, frequently asked questions and contact details of our Q&E support team.”
Q&E is already the plumbing system of choice for the majority of European installers with more than 75 million fittings sold worldwide. The system was fully launched in the UK at Ecobuild 2013.
Suitable for a wide range of domestic and commercial applications, Q&E can also be adapted to fit other heating systems and is a comprehensive all-plastic plumbing system which includes a wide range of products such as couplings, reducers, elbows, tees, tap connectors and M/F threaded adaptors. It is also WRAS approved.
