Ultrascape features in award-winning scheme

Cheshire West and Chester BC public realm scheme has won a prestigious street design award and Ultrascape’s renowned flowable grout, Flowpoint was supplied for the project.

Ultrascape Flowpoint is part of Ultrascape’s BS 7533 compliant mortar paving system, and it was specified due to its suitability for irregular joints and professional results. Meeting the requirements of BS 7533 thus ensures a construction life in excess of 40 years.

Due to the product’s rapid setting performance, paving grouted with Flowpoint can be opened to pedestrians in just 1 hour and vehicular traffic after only 4 hours, minimising disruption.

The product is suitable for almost all paving types, here buff diamond British yorkstone and granites ranging in colour from grey to black were used.

Flowpoint is fast and efficient to apply leaving a perfect, stain free finish. A finish that is appropriate to modern or historic paving looks, perfect considering the innovative use of art also makes this project stand out as a winner.

The council commissioned artist Katayoun Dowlatshahi to ensure the new project reflects the town’s history and helps tie the historical buildings to the street.
