Tesco’s stunning new Superstore at Hattersley features a 1,000 m2 curtain wall supplied by Senior Architectural Systems.
The curtain wall facade is almost 7 m in height and dominates the main facade of the new store.
Designed by Faulkner Browns, Senior’s worked closely with Tesco and Aire Valley Glass of Keighley to ensure that a cost effective installation was delivered on time and on budget.
The company’s SMR800 Curtain Wall System used on the project, is a high performance, stick based, system which carries glazed units of 36 mm in thickness. Tested to CWCT standards, SMR800 is one of four high performance curtain wall systems available from Senior.
The new Hattersley Superstore is one of the largest Tesco Extra Stores to open its doors in the Manchester area.
Employing over 300 staff, the new Store has done much to revitalise the Hattersley area which lies to the East of the City Centre on the edge of the Pennines.
