The Roofshield vapour and air permeable underlay, supplied by the A. Proctor Group, was recently installed on the roof at Stillpoint Clinic and Dojo, Bath.
The project is a 600m2 mixed use scheme in the heart of the World Heritage site of Bath, comprising an alternative health clinic, martial arts dojo and 2 houses.
The benefits provided by the high performance Roofshield membrane were obvious to the specifiers, Mitchell Taylor Workshop in Bath.
The very low vapour resistance of 0.09MNs/g combined with high vapour and air permeability reduces the potential for interstitial condensation as far as is possible, and without the requirement to use a vapour control layer, thus giving a robust and dependable solution that can be specified with confidence.
The NHBC believe that no ridge ventilation is required with Roofshield due to its air permeability, a requirement for all other vapour permeable membranes.
