With competition for contracts remaining high, affordability, sustainability and aesthetic appeal are all key considerations for roofers selecting a roof covering. The UK’s leading manufacturer of roof tiles and slates, Marley, meets all these requirements with its versatile selection of clay plain tiles.
Drawing on the company’s heritage and history of working with clay combined with the latest product innovations, Marley offers an extensive range of clay plain tiles which benefit from a traditional aesthetic appeal, whilst fulfilling the modern environmental requirements of the 21st century.
Made from the naturally occurring, high-quality Etruria Marl, the competitively priced tiles are a strong and durable solution for any refurbishment or new-build project in the UK, performing to the highest of standards and providing a roof covering that can stand the test of time.
Extensive research has resulted in the product displaying first class environmental credentials, allowing it to achieve an A+ rating under the Building Research Establishment’s (BRE) Green Guide to Specification, making the tiles ideal for use on projects where sustainability is critical.
Marley’s clay plain tiles are available in four different product variations: Hawkins, Acme Single Camber, Acme Double Camber and Ashdowne. The Hawkins tile is a machine-made product which has been manufactured and installed on roofs for over 150 years. Combining the traditional look and feel of clay tiles with modern firing techniques, creating a unique colour selection at an affordable price. The Acme Single Camber tile is ideal for designs where a contemporary look is required, whilst also retaining the traditional warmth and character associated with clay. The Acme Double Camber product features longitudinal and latitudinal camber, giving a double curved look which allows the designer the opportunity to create highly textured roofscapes with accentuated light and shade. Ashdowne tiles offer a warm, mellow appearance, with each tile featuring an individual look with random irregularities, thanks to the handcrafted process that is used to create the product to give a traditionally finished clay tile.
With such a vast selection of product styles, Marley’s clay plain tiles offer solutions which aim to fit with any roofer’s vision. Furthermore, as the range is available in 25 different colour options, the tiles are ideal for projects where consideration must be given to the look and feel of the surrounding area as part of planning requirements.
To complement Marley’s clay plain tile range, a free sampling service is available, or alternatively your free printed colour panels can be requested. Additionally through Marley's technical advisory service, experts are on hand to offer advice on product selection and fitting.
