Royal Philips Electronics has lit up the majority of football stadiums in Ukraine and Poland, including the Olympic stadium of Kiev (NSC Olimpiyskiy) during the recent Euro 2012 tournament
These stadiums were amongst venues for the European football championship. Philips’ latest innovations are tailor-made for HDTV quality and contribute to enhancing the viewing experience for players, spectators and TV viewers.
The installed Philips lighting includes pitch and façade lighting, illuminating six of the eight stadiums (Donbass Arena, Metalist stadium Kharkiv, Arena Lviv, Poznan City stadium, Municipal stadium Wroclaw and Kiev Olympic stadium) that will be hosting the games.
Philips Lighting Chief Executive Officer Eric Rondolat said: “Sport is about performance and emotions. Philips captures the performance and emotions so that millions of people can be enjoying the matches.”
