Effective sealing of windows and doors is provided by the iso³ system now available from one of Europe’s leading suppliers of foam sealants, ISO-Chemie.
The iso³ system is based around the European RAL principles of three level sealing - external seals provide weather resistance and breathability while the intermediate seal provides extra thermal and acoustic properties and the internal one air tightness and humidity regulation.
All three levels are designed to accommodate movement between the adjacent materials.
The system features a combination of materials which can be mixed and matched to suit the individual installation. These include the ISO-BLOCO 600 tapes, ISO-BLOCO HF tape, and various ISO-CONNECT window foils such as the Vario SD, CX and FD ranges. The window foils can be installed using either the factory applied adhesives or the separate ISO-TOP flex-adhesive for airtight and windproof bonding of window connection films and loft foils.
Featured tapes have been tested to comply with legal regulations and standards and can be used to provide quick ‘fit and forget’ perimeter seals for both weather and air tightness, while remaining permeable to trapped water and water vapour – similar to a flexible breathable style material.
Products featured within the system include the ISO-CONNECT Vario SD humidity regulating special foil and the ISO-BLOCO range of pre-compressed 600 PUR impregnated foam tapes.
In addition to ‘intelligent’ humidity control, ISO-CONNECT Vario SD is part of a new generation of sealing products which not only adapt to seasonal variations but also provide an external weather seal. The versatile ISO-BLOCO 600 range is easy-to-apply by on-site installers and can be used to seal joints ranging in width from 1mm to 42mm providing excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties.
The iso³ system also features ISO-CONNECT CX films for connecting interior and exterior joints around windows, doors and panels and ISO-CONNECT FD interior and exterior stretchable materials for optimum resistance against driving rain.
The ISO-TOP flexi-adhesive provides an airtight and windproof bonding on window connection films and loft foils in accordance with DIN 4107-7.
