RIBA Competitions and RIBA West Midlands are delighted to launch a competition on behalf of Millennium Point to seek design ideas to enhance the visibility and image of Millennium Point in Birmingham from the Jennens Road approach.
Philip Singleton, CEO of Millennium Point said: “As a very successful millennium project, we are launching into our second decade with renewed vigour and ambition. We want to be more recognisable on the landscape of Birmingham and beyond.
“I am really delighted to be working with the RIBA to seek out ideas from the profession to design a fabulous and unforgettable pavilion."
A launch event with a briefing session and site visit will take place on 14 December 2012. Closing date for stage 1 entries is Tuesday 8 January 2013.
Gabrielle Omar, Architect, Entrepreneur and Candidate on BBC 1's Apprentice 2012 will sit on the Jury Panel which meets at the end of January to select a shortlist.
