Riverside House is a high specification, purpose built, student accommodation development in a riverside location, less than 1 mile from Manchester city centre and approximately 11 minutes’ walk from the University of Salford.
The development features 50 self-contained apartments within the building, grouped into clusters of 3-7 rooms, with a well-appointed kitchen and common room for each cluster.
COMPAC’s 20 mm thick quartz worksurfaces in Plomo and Luna finishes were specified for all the kitchen worktops and for the building’s reception area, COMPAC’s Portora quartz worksurface was specified.
Approved COMPAC fabricator, Stonebridge Granite Ltd, based in North Manchester begun fabricating the worktops in April this year and completed the installation in August on behalf of Salford based, Portergate Property Management.
COMPAC’s pioneering ‘engineered stone’ technology has enabled the company to harness the natural colours and beauty of quartz -one of the hardest known substances to man, to offer a range of quartz worksurfaces with a virtually zero porosity surface and without the need for antibacterial chemicals.
Technological quartz comprises 93 - 95% natural quartz - one of the finest and most durable natural materials. This versatile, high performance product maintains extraordinary hardness, resistance to abrasion and importantly, is easy to clean and maintain.
