Leading building materials distributor CCF has upgraded its vehicle fleet with the addition of 12 urban artic lorries.
The investment promises to further enhance delivery efficiencies and increase operational flexibility.
To be introduced over the next 12 months, each 20 tonne urban artic lorry will have a 53 per cent increase in payload and a 33 per cent increase in volume capacity in comparison to the previous fleet.
With a growing need to hire a specialist vehicle to carry large product loads, the vehicle upgrade will improve service levels for CCF customers and strengthen the distributor’s commitment to the environment.
Liam Holland, Supply Chain Business Partner for CCF, said: “We are constantly striving to enhance the quality our delivery service and the addition to the CCF fleet will have a huge impact on both our customers and business. It’s important that we can ensure a reliable delivery service with greater capacity to carry goods so that customers can rest assured they will receive their products when and where they need them.
“There is also the added incentive of being able to transport goods without increasing the number of vehicles travelling up and down the country. This will bring obvious environmental benefits.”
