Solihull wood look-a-like bollard

Bollards International's unique Solihull wood look-a-like bollard was specially crafted to act as the waymarker for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council’s strategic cycle route and is designed to blend harmoniously with both urban and rural landscapes.  

As the original mould was derived from real wood, this square profile bollard features a true wood grain finish, having a mitred top and double recessed bands for highlight paint or tape, plus recessed disks for signage.

The principal drawback to wooden street furniture is its susceptibility to the environment. In the long term it is almost impossible to protect wood against the adverse effects of weather.

Wood has a tendency to rot and split, and needs regular and intensive upkeep to retain its good looks. Bollards International manufactures a range of polyurethane street furniture from recycled materials, which is able to masquerade as wood without the associated problems, ensuring that street furniture will remain in first class condition with little maintenance for years to come.

Produced using the company's Envirocast process and utilising our unique polymer resin gleaned from sustainable sources, the Solihull wood look-a-like bollard is the ideal option for use in landscaped grounds, such as cemeteries, local parks and gardens.
