Anodix offers safe alternative to copper ionisation users

Following the recent statement issued by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to the Department of Health on the impending banning of elemental copper for use in water treatment, users of copper ionisation systems may require an alternative.

Anodix offers a safe and chemical free system to replace copper ionisation for controlling legionella and other pathogens in water systems.

Copper based ionisation systems will be banned from 1st February 2013, and the HSE is encouraging all users of this system to seek advice on the alternatives available.

Anodix has been widely used across Europe as an energy saving and low carbon method of controlling legionella and has earned European accreditation. It is rapidly gaining recognition across the UK within the ‘alternative biocide treatment’ category within the HSE published ACoP (L8) for legionella control.

Anodix is a popular choice with end users due to its low cost, simple operation and significant energy saving potential. Control of legionella is vital to every organisation and the traditional method of temperature control may require a supplementary method to reduce risk to a satisfactory level.

Anodix is designed as a primary control system with low carbon technology that is capable of replacing or supplementing temperature control without using additional chemicals.

As a leading edge system, Anodix is striving to replace high risk and high cost chemical dispersal systems to become the system of choice in the UK.
