Alumasc has significantly expanded its Harmer Roof Drainage range, making it the most comprehensive offer on the market from a single manufacturer.
With the addition of new products and the launch of its new Drainage Calculator software, Alumasc’s Harmer brand offers benefits to all professionals involved in the design and specification of rainwater and roof drainage products.
Another significant development is the introduction of a comprehensive range of cast iron rainwater outlets to create competitive choice for designers who have a preference for cast iron drainage products.
The new range of outlets provides for inverted and warm roof construction whilst improving fire safety as well as accommodating wheel load capacities to meet the requirements for car park and podium deck drainage applications.
Alumasc’s Harmer brand is already the leading name in flat roof drainage, with an established product range consisting of aluminium and insulated rainwater outlets. A new Mini Balcony Outlet is now included within the aluminium range, featuring a shallow sump and interchangeable gratings in stainless steel or nickel bronze for applications requiring improvement of finish and enhanced aesthetics.
The Harmer Modulock system consists of an all new product offer comprising an adjustable linear channel system that meets the requirements of Part M Level Access compliance manufactured in galvanised or stainless steel. The new Modulock offer also extends the successful range of adjustable deck supports by simplifying levelling and adjustability during and after installation. The introduction of these products has significantly improved the choice and cost efficiency of raised deck drainage solutions available for green roofs, terraces, walkways and ballasted flat roof construction.
The Harmer range is suited to different roof types including structural concrete, metal deck, timber deck, warm roof, cold roof, green roof and inverted roof.
Harmer Roof outlets can be used with all types of membrane including asphalt, built-up felt, single ply and wet-applied systems and are suitable for applications such as flat and low pitched roofs, car parks decks, factories and workshops, balconies and roof terraces. All products feature premium quality materials chosen for their inherent strength and durability, for ease of installation and long-life service.
Harmer Drainage products have been used on the new and refurbished sections of Phases 1 and 2 of Bart’s Cancer Centre and Phase 1 of The Royal London Hospital.
The Harmer SML soil and waste system together with over 100 roof drains, 80 shower drains and 50 floor drains were specified for their performance and long-term reliability. Harmer SML is a lightweight cast iron soil and waste pipework system that meets the needs of the project from pipework connection to stack to underground sewer connection.
It is also suited to rainwater installations in conjunction with Harmer Roof Outlets. The system is Agrément Certified and fully compliant with BS EN 877, and has 30 years' use throughout Europe. It offers a huge range of benefits in terms of fast and easy installation, performance, flexibility and longevity.
