A dedicated drainage networking group established on business social networking site LinkedIn, has reached a milestone this week with its 100th member. The Building Drainage Network was established exclusively for specifiers, contractors, engineers, and installers of drainage systems for the built environment.
Hosted by Mike Rawlings, cast iron drainage specialist at leading soil, drain and rainwater systems manufacturer Saint-Gobain PAM UK, the site provides a forum for industry opinion leaders to generate informed debate about all aspects of cast iron drainage systems, from maintenance to issues surrounding installation and sustainability.
Members are encouraged to take part in a variety of polls and debates on key drainage-related topics, as well as being given free access to informative white papers and exclusive video content.
Mike Rawlings commented: “It’s great that the Building Drainage Network has reached this milestone figure. Until its formation, there was no dedicated online forum focusing on the drainage sector which met the needs of all parties whether they are involved in specification, installation, management or maintenance. We’ve designed it to encourage a range of topics to be discussed, with the floor very much open for members to initiate debates on the issues they are facing - and to share experiences, expertise and best practice with their counterparts.
Membership of the Building Drainage Network is open to LinkedIn members with responsibility for specifying, installing, or maintaining drainage and rainwater systems in the built environment. For further information and to apply to join the Group, visit Linkedin and search for Building Drainage Network.
