The shortlist for the Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) Awards 2017, which recognise innovation and excellence in external wall insulation (EWI), has been revealed.
Now in its fifth year, the INCA Awards showcases the varied range of innovative EWI solutions that can be used to enhance the performance and design of a building.
There are nine award categories covering projects in New Build and Refurbishment, as well as member companies’ successes in Training and Outstanding Achievement.
New categories for 2017 include the Installer of the Year, which recognises the achievements of INCA contractor members for their innovative solutions and community engagement, and the Innovation Award, recognising innovation in EWI systems, products and technologies.
The judging panel consisted of industry experts from AgilityEco, CITB, BEIS, EAE, Energy Saving Trust and Sturgis Carbon Profiling, who were all impressed by the remarkable detail accomplished by INCA members to deliver top standards for their clients.
CEO of AgilityECO, Gearóid Lane said: “High quality External Wall Insulation systems, installed by professional and skilled contractors, have always been the hallmark of the INCA Awards, and this year is no different.
"We’ve had some outstanding entries this year, with projects pushing the boundaries both technically and creatively. The judging panel would like to congratulate all those who have been shortlisted, and we look forward to seeing you all (and revealing our winners) at the Awards Dinner in October.”
The winners will be revealed at a black-tie dinner on Thursday 5 October at the beautiful Titanic Hotel in Liverpool’s Stanley Dock. This flagship event will showcase the EWI industry to around 200 guests from across the construction industry.
The Awards are sponsored by CITB and QANW, as well as INCA members: Alsecco UK, E.ON, Kingspan Insulation, PPG Architectural Coatings, Saint-Gobain Weber, SPSenvirowall and Sto.
