The low energy housing project, Green Street in The Meadows, by specialist regeneration developer Blueprint has been shortlisted for three prestigious awards.

The development of 38 architect-designed townhouses is in line for two national awards, the title of most eco-aware project in the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards and is a finalist in the Sustain Magazine Awards, which celebrate standout achievements in the field of sustainability.

The project has also been shortlisted for the RICS East Midlands Awards where it stands to win prizes for best residential development and design and innovation.

It recognises Blueprint’s innovative role as a developer capable of delivering not just “green buildings” but a development that has had a positive impact on The Meadows community in Nottingham where it is located.

Nick Ebbs, chief executive of Blueprint, said: “It’s exciting to see Green Street getting national recognition. It’s been outstandingly successful commercially, and it has proven that there is a healthy market for architect-designed, low energy homes. We are now applying this successful model to new projects in Nottingham and elsewhere.”

The judging process for all three awards is rigorous with panels of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries.
