Hamworthy Heating has extended their digital drawing library to now include 3D Revit models for their Powerstock range of calorifiers and storage tanks, plus their Chesil pressurisation units.

These new BIM objects add to their current BIM library that already includes many well-known boiler and hot water products, and ensures Hamworthy comply with the 2016 Government BIM mandate that requires centrally procured government funded public sector projects to be implemented in BIM Level 2.

Sam Boshier, BIM co-ordinator at Hamworthy Heating comments: “We were one of the first boiler manufacturers to have BIM objects in 2012 and since then we have strengthened our range – making improvements and adding new models. Calorifiers are very popular with our customers as an indirect method of generating hot water and we have responded to customer demand to now include these in our BIM library.”

Partnering with bimstore, the original BIM component library, the models have been designed to the highest industry standards. They are packed with relevant metadata on size, outputs, efficiencies, dimensions and clearance zones. Plus users can select optional extras such as recirculation kits to prevent stratification and protect against legionella in the water tanks.

They are fully compatible with Revit MEP systems and are included in one type catalogue for ease of changing model size when working in your project.

Sam went on to say: “These new models will enable our customers to design full plant rooms using Hamworthy equipment for a commercial building’s heating and hot water system.”

The Powerstock calorifier and storage tank BIM objects incorporate all 11 models from the range and the optional top to bottom recirculation kits.

The Chesil pressurisation unit BIM object is available as a floor standing or wall hung model with options for standard or electronic control.
