Hanson Formpave has provided over 1,000 square metres of its Aquaslab EcoGranite permeable paving to complete Aylesbury Vale Council’s new office development.

Aquaslab is the only permeable slab on the market. It incorporates Formpave’s Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) to help prevent flooding and is perfect for large public paved areas as it is low maintenance, durable and skid resistant.

The slabs were made from Formpave’s unique EcoGranite mix, which contains up to 77 per cent recycled materials and is an environmentally-friendly alternative to the use of freshly quarried granite.

AKS Ward senior design engineer, Paul Westcott, said: “The Aquaslab range is the perfect choice for commercial projects as it offers a clean contemporary look with the added benefits of the SUDS to help reduce the risk of flooding.

“We frequently specify Hanson Formpave’s paving on most of the projects we are involved in as they offer a large range of options to meet a variety of requirements and planning conditions.”

Hanson Formpave head of design, John Lloyd, said: “We offer a comprehensive design service to suit all requirements and are committed to working with our clients to find the perfect paving solution.”
