Redland – the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of pitched roof systems – is marking the 30th anniversary of the introduction of its iconic Cambrian Slate and, as part of the celebrations, is offering architects, specifiers and designers the chance to win a luxury break for two at the Celtic Manor Resort near Cardiff.
The competition is simplicity itself to enter, and details can be found on Redland's website.
Made from over 60% recycled Welsh slate, Cambrian captures all the beauty and character of natural slate and provides outstanding aesthetics, performance and installed-cost benefits.
Redland Cambrian Slates are designed with a unique three-point fixing, making them secure on even the most exposed sites. Manufactured to be lightweight with a thin leading edge and surface patterning taken from impressions of real natural slates, and proven on pitches as low as 15°, Redland Cambrian Slates are suitable for a wide range of projects. When installed with recommended fixings under the Redland SpecMaster service, the whole roof is backed by a 15-Year weathertightness, durability and design liability guarantee.
Three colours are available: Heather, Langdale Green and Slate Grey – with Slate Grey also being available in a pre-weathered finish.
The Celtic Manor Resort is set in 1400 acres of panoramic parkland at the gateway to Wales, offering two hotels and three top class 18-hole golf courses as well as extensive dining and conference facilities. The prize consists of two nights stay at the resort hotel, three-course meals on both evenings, a full Welsh buffet breakfast and use of the Forum Health Club.
The lucky prize-winner will also have the opportunity to examine Cambrian in detail during the course of the weekend – it features as the roof covering of the Celtic Manor Twenty Ten Clubhouse, built to host the Ryder Cup.
