easyGym, the new fitness club concept from Stelios, the founder of easyJet, has launched a series of community pop up work out classes in the heart of Kings Heath to celebrate the launch of its new £1.5million gym site on Findlay Road.
The first of the fun community work out classes was held in Kings Heath Town Square last week and saw local residents, both old and young, joining in with the fitness fun, with the oldest participant 82 years of age and the youngest just two years old.
The work out included boxercise, circuit training and a dumbbell work out. The easyGym community work out classes will be popping up in King’s Heath throughout the New Year and will involve a number of fun fitness activities including group dance work outs. easyGym is calling on local residents to join in the community spirit and get fit with friends, family and neighbours alike.
Gavin Edinborough, Personal Trainer at easyGym Kings Heath, commented: “easyGym’s pop up community work outs are a great way for local residents to meet new friends, have fun and get fit. We want the whole of Kings Heath to don their trainers and help us raise awareness of the importance of keeping active and healthy, whilst having a great time and celebrating the launch of our new easyGym site.”
With extensive opening hours (6am-11pm weekdays & 8am-8pm weekends), non-contract memberships are available to buy now and are priced from £15.99. New easyGym members will also receive a free entertainment pack for the first month and free sign up for the next two weeks.
Birmingham is the third easyGym to launch, following the success of its other gyms in London and Slough. With ambitious growth plans to open a further 10 gyms per year for the next five years in the UK, easyGym also has additional plans to expand throughout Europe.
