One of the UK’s longest established renewables companies, Dulas, has scored its own home nation hat-trick with the commissioning of three Endurance 50kW wind turbines on large farm sites in England, Scotland and Wales.

Producing between 150,000 – 220,000 kWh and an income of up to £60,000 per year in good winds, the new 50kW turbine installations will enable the farms to significantly improve their energy independence while providing a valuable source of income.

Speaking of the new installations, Nigel Webster, Dulas’ Business Manager for Medium Wind, said: “We’re thrilled that Dulas has been able to deliver real benefits to farmers looking to bring in extra income on their farms. Whether it’s dairy or beef, arable or sheep farming, by installing a medium scale wind turbine, farmers are able to save money by generating electricity for their own use and to have a diversified source of income. ”

Dulas installed the first Endurance wind turbine in the UK more than 18 months ago and the 50kW turbines have since proved popular with clients looking to produce renewable energy efficiently, reliably, safely and quietly.

Nigel Webster added: “We have noticed a significant uplift in the demand for medium scale wind turbines as businesses continue to look for innovative solutions to improve their energy independence and take advantage of government incentives for renewable energy. The Endurance 50kW turbines offer the opportunity for anyone with a good site to generate clean energy and a financial return of up to £60,000 per year from wind power.”
