In just over three months time, the UK’s largest solar dedicated show will open its doors to the global solar industry. With industry installing more than 1GW of solar photovoltaics in the last 12 months, more than any other green technology in the country, Solar Power UK 2012 is ready to play its part in securing the UK’s solar future.

Gathering for the first time at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham, and sponsored by Rexel Renewables, Solar Power UK 2012 is back, four-times bigger then before, and ready to cater for the ever-growing industry. Congregating from the 2nd to 4th of October, more than 5,000 visitors are expected to travel to the NEC, paving the way for the UK solar market’s rich future.

The Solar Power UK 2012 exhibition will see the industry’s leading manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service and energy providers, associations and consultancies showcase their ground-breaking technical innovations, pioneering services and the most recent market trends.

Running alongside the exhibition, in three seminar halls, Solar Power UK’s seminar series will focus on individual themes, comprising PV, Solar Business and the Green Deal. Covering all things solar – from latest technologies, product pricing and grid connectivity to public installations, the revival of large-scale PV and commercial developments – the series will cater for every branch of the wide reaching industry.

The Government’s flagship energy policy, the Green Deal, will also be launching this October, and Solar Power UK will provide the preparation the industry needs for its introduction. In a dedicated seminar hall, the seminar series will discuss what to expect from the Green Deal, how it will work, how it will affect the UK solar market and most importantly, how businesses can make it work in partnership with solar energy.

Solar Power UK 2012 will also feature interactive, hands-on education experiences with two live feature areas on the exhibition floor. Showcasing Practical PV and Large Scale PV, the areas will cater to anyone already installing, looking to get into solar installations or looking to diversify into the large-scale market.

Also new this year is a purpose-built eco-house area, demonstrating Green Deal and other energy efficiency measures. This walk-through feature, sponsored by Sonnen Macht, will showcase what can be done to bring a building’s energy efficiency rating up, and exactly how it is done.

With over 80% of the exhibition floor space already sold, Solar Power UK is shaping up to be a page-turning moment in the UK solar market’s history.

Registration for the exhibition is now open and free of charge. To make sure you’re part of the UK’s solar future, book your tickets today by visiting www.solarpowerukevents.org.
