Daikin UK has appointed Andrew Crown as Commercial Manager of its Heating and Renewables Division. The move is part of the company’s drive to grow its domestic heating and renewables market and is further underlined by the appointment of Natalie Inskip as Marketing Communications Executive.

The new appointments to Daikin UK’s heating and renewables team is part of a strategy to strengthen the company’s nationwide network renewables partners and brand awareness campaigns targeted towards end user groups. It follows the launch of Daikin UK’s “Make the Connection” and the “see before you buy” £400 cash back campaigns, designed to support its heating installers’ businesses and develop its relationship with merchants.

Andrew Crown said: “Due to a number of key legislative drivers, including the recently announced Renewable Heat Incentive, both the heat pump and solar thermal markets are set for strong growth over the next three to five years. The domestic and commercial markets will offer opportunity for growth as all clients look to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption. In addition the social housing and new-build sectors will see growth in renewable product installations as clients push to meet higher standards under the Code for Sustainable Homes.

“It is a very exciting time to be involved in the renewable heating sector and I relish the challenges of my new role.”

Andrew Crown moves to his new position having headed Daikin UK’s London South office for the past year. Prior to joining Daikin UK, Andrew spent 16 years working with a leading heating and renewables manufacturer, as Sales and Marketing Director.

Natalie Inskip joins the rapidly growing heating and renewables team previously held marketing roles in the IT security sector, as well as Unilever and BlackBerry.

Already Daikin has more than 30 years’ experience in the commercial heat pump market, and has an enviable reputation as leading supplier of highly energy efficient heating and cooling solutions. It is well-known as a product innovator and since it moved into the domestic heating and renewables market three years ago, has launched several world-first initiatives including the Daikin Altherma Flex Type heat pump for apartment buildings and the space saving monobloc solution.

The company has recently expanded its portfolio of high efficiency heating and renewable products – which now includes the market-leading range of Daikin Altherma heat pumps as well as solar thermal systems, heating convectors, underfloor heating and gas solar thermal store solutions. All these systems are designed to work together seamlessly to create fully integrated space and hot water solutions for domestic settings.
