Daikin UK has extended its £400 cash back offer for home owners who want to scrap their old boiler and replace it with a new Daikin Altherma air-to-water heat pump, in a move to support installers grow their businesses.

The offer, which was first launched in October 2010, has been extended until 31st May in light of the Government’s announcement that the first phase of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), to be launched later this year, will not cover domestic air-to-water heat pump installations.

Peter Verkempynck, Managing Director, Daikin UK, said: “We are extending the £400 cash back offer to home owners to show our support to installers, who expected to grow their businesses as a result of the RHI offering a financial incentive to encourage the uptake of domestic air-to-water heat pumps. Given that the first phase of the RHI, which is due to be launched this year, does not make provision for products such as Daikin’s Altherma range, we wanted to show our support to installers by helping to cushion this blow.”

To benefit from this offer, home owners simply need to visit one of the participating showrooms to access the £400 boiler scrappage voucher, which they can claim back from Daikin UK after carrying out their Daikin Altherma installation. Customers can find a full list of participating showrooms at http://www.daikinheating.co.uk/cashbackoffer/participating-installers/default.jsp

It is hoped that the extension of the scheme will also encourage installers to participate in Daikin UK’s showroom initiative which is a pre-requisite of being able to offer the cash back incentive.
