Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS), part of the Travis Perkins Group, has partnered with Geo Environmental Sciences Limited (GESL) to offer a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) design and installation service which is already garnering positive reviews.
Monmouthshire Development Ltd approached SBS after struggling to acquire a competitive quote for work on a development of nine houses in Wales.
A clear and cost-effective quote from GESL, backed by the product support of SBS and Travis Perkins, meant that a plan was in place very quickly.
Brian James of Monmouthshire Developments Ltd, said: “GESL completed a detailed SUDS assessment, a professional scheme design, full supporting calculations and drawings, in just five days. Backed by support from SBS, we received a first class service that made it simple to pull together the design and implementation of this renewable solution.”
Paul Joyner, Director of Sustainability at Travis Perkins plc, added: “By partnering with GESL we can now offer access to a comprehensive SUDS design service. This is a fantastic addition to our portfolio; we’re committed to continually improving the integrated solutions we provide for customers - not just products, but also training, services, technical advice and sustainable consultancy.”
Sustainable drainage is an environmentally friendly way of dealing with surface water run-off whilst avoiding the problems associated with conventional drainage practice. GESL also offers a range of services including Ground Source Heat Pump assessment, design, and installation, with the potential to earn additional credits under the Code for Sustainable Homes.
