Occupiers and visitors at 10 Portman Square, a prestigious new West End retail and office development delivered by British Land, will be protected by fully integrated life safety and security systems engineered and installed by Reflex systems.
The South Yorkshire based company supplied the latest technologies, as well as design and delivery expertise. This resulted in a unified solution including complex fire detection and voice evacuation systems, care communications, door access control, sliding glass pedestrian lanes, CCTV and intruder detection operating throughout the 20,000sq ft of retail space and 113,0000sq ft of office space.
The systems use globally proven hardware, IP network technology, graphical user interfaces and modular software which accommodate the building management needs of today and beyond.
John Pye, Managing Director of Reflex systems, said: "We worked closely with consultants and building contractors from start to finish to ensure that all life safety and security met the stringent compliance standards. We also kept one eye on the future when considering the longer term needs of the building owners, operators and tenants.”
Integral site-wide phased voice evacuation with a full graphical user interface allows security and life safety systems to be monitored, controlled and operated seamlessly throughout the 20,0002 ft of retail space and 113,0002 ft of highly sought-after office space. Reflex System's expertise in management of logistics for large, high profile complicated projects like this means that they are able to design bespoke solutions which are user friendly and simple to operate, minimizing risks and maximizing peace of mind for the client.
Reflex Systems has recently secured Gold accreditations from NACOSS (National Approvals Council for Security Systems) and BAFE which provide added reassurance and confidence to customers that they are choosing a company that is committed to delivering the very highest standards.
