Eltherington, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of aluminium and fabrication services to the architectural, modular and leisure sectors, has helped create a stunning facade for Centurion House, Monument Street, London.
The company supplied high quality rainscreen cladding, column casings and roofline products in 316 grade stainless steel.
Supplied with a polished 320 grit finish, the stainless steel created an appealing, satin matt aesthetic that complimented the surrounding mix of old and new buildings, including The Shard.
Eltherington’s stainless steel facade and roofline solution was specified by the project’s contractors, SRL.
Eltherington rainscreen cladding can achieve an A-rating for sustainability if fitted in accordance with the BRE Green Guide to Sustainability. The Guide states that: ‘Due to their lightweight nature, framed structures generally score better than their masonry counterparts’.
The technical and commercial teams from Eltherington worked closely with Mace and SRL to ensure that a high quality, visually appealing solution was achieved, and that the products were delivered exactly to schedule.
The completed 80,000m2 building houses offices and two ground floors devoted to retail units. The project’s architects were David Walker Architects.
Brain Seymour, of SRL, added: “We chose to partner with Eltherington because of their experience and reputation for quality across the full suite of architectural facade and roofline solutions. We have worked with them over a few years and have always received excellent service.”
Eltherington operates a 6 acre state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hull and is able to supply a wide range of standard and bespoke solutions for building facades, roofline, column casings, perforated panels and spandrel panels along with internal cladding.
Michael Riding, Business Development Director at Eltherington, said: “We were delighted to be chosen to supply architectural solutions to Centurion House. Being able to offer a fully bespoke service meant that our facade and roofline solutions integrated seamlessly with other elements of the building.”
