During Fire Door Safety Week, Abloy UK is inviting the industry to refresh its knowledge with two webinars to help raise awareness and highlight the importance of selecting compliant products for fire and escape doors.
The Electric Locking Fire and Escape Doors webinar, along with an exclusive Escape Door Systems webinar, will be hosted on 24th September, giving industry professionals the opportunity to earn CPD points and remain updated with the latest legislation.

Designed for people and businesses that supply, specify or install access control locking or blocking on emergency and panic escape routes, the Electric Locking Fire and Escape Doors is a RIBA Core Curriculum CPD seminar.
Hosted as a webinar, it will help you understand:
- The fundamental requirements when incorporating access control systems in commercial buildings.
- The electric locking options available.
- Design standard compliant access control systems.
- How to ensure that electric locking specifications meet the requirement of both fire door and escape door legislation.

Escape Door System Webinar
The Escape Door System has been developed specifically to comply with the three elements of BS EN 13637, the standard for electrically controlled exit systems for use on escape routes.
The webinar will explain how installing an Escape Door System ensures compliance, security and the ability to implement dynamic lockdown procedures, which can assist evacuation during emergency scenarios such as a fire, gas leak or terrorist incident.
Register here. September 24th - 2:00pm - 3:00pm.
Pat Jefferies, Commercial Director at Abloy UK, will be presenting the webinars: “Fire safety remains a critical issue for anyone working in the construction, FM or security industry.
“These RIBA approved webinars aren’t just about earning CPD points but making sure that anyone with a responsibility for the safety of a building and its occupants is informed and up to date with the latest requirements on fire safety. Ultimately, enabling you to make better and safer choices when designing or specifying security systems and escape routes for buildings, to help save lives.”
If you are unable to attend, the webinars will be recorded and made available for those who register.
