Remeha boiler ticks all boxes at school

A Remeha Gas 120 Ace high efficiency floor-standing condensing boiler is keeping pupils and staff at Brynsaron Primary School in Carmarthenshire reliably warm this winter.

Brynsaron is a rural, off-gas grid school that had previously relied on a dated atmospheric cast iron boiler for its heating and hot water.

When carrying out the planned boiler replacement, reliability and energy efficiency were key priorities for Carmarthenshire County Council to keep school comfort levels high, operating costs low and minimise any environmental impact.

The project also presented a number of interesting challenges, including space constraints within the plant room and the need for the new boiler to run on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Bullock Consulting’s Carmarthen Office specified a Remeha high efficiency condensing boiler to meet all the above requirements.

Remeha’s Gas 120 Ace boiler combines top-quality components with precision engineering to deliver high heating performance in an extremely small footprint.

The boiler was installed by Lorne Stewart’s Cardiff Office. Chris Charlton, Senior Project Engineer at Lorne Stewart, said:

“The use of an integral low loss header meant that space and height restrictions within the plant room were easily resolved. Flueing was also easier thanks to the use of a concentric horizontal flue, and the fact that the boiler could be converted to run on LPG successfully overcame the last project hurdle.”

The Gas 120 Ace is available in 65, 90, and 115 models and offers an effective floor-standing option to the wall-mounted Quinta Ace. With cascade and modular packages available for up to four boilers, it provides an effective space saving solution and greater design flexibility.

Following a straightforward installation, the boiler is now fully operational and running reliably. Brynsaron Primary School prides itself on providing high quality teaching and learning – with the installation of the new Remeha boiler, it now has a high-performance heating provision to match.

Carmarthenshire County Council are extremely pleased with how the project went and anticipate considerable cost savings in the months ahead from the new energy-efficient condensing boiler.

Remeha condensing boilers now come with an industry-leading, comprehensive 7 year warranty, including parts and labour.
