Exeter City Council is close to completing a major programme to install 6,000 Aico Ei208 Lithium battery powered Carbon Monoxide Alarms across its properties, specified due to their unique AudioLINK data extraction technology.
The Alarms have been installed into every room that has a gas appliance.
The Ei208 is a quality, cost-effective Carbon Monoxide alarm which uses sealed in 10 year life Lithium batteries to address the problem of battery removal by tenants.
The alarms benefit from a highly sophisticated electrochemical Carbon Monoxide sensor and rigorous, multiple testing – including in real Carbon Monoxide gas - for the utmost reliability.
A key feature of the Ei208 Carbon Monoxide Alarm is Aico’s multiple award winning AudioLINK technology which allows real time data to be extracted to a smart phone or tablet using the free AudioLINK App. The data is displayed in a simple colour coded Alarm Status Report, providing useful information such as any alarm activations – with details of when it occurred, if any background Carbon Monoxide has been detected, battery life, alarm sensors status, number of times tested and removed. Exeter City Council’s engineers have found this feature to be very useful as it provides them with valuable information they can act upon.
A long standing Aico customer, Exeter City Council has also made good use of Aico’s wider service offerings, including Expert Installer training. This CPD accredited training scheme, designed to ensure everyone involved in domestic alarm specification and installation has all the information they need, has been supplied by Aico free of charge to the Council’s engineers, surveyors and managers.
An Ei company, Aico is the market leader in residential fire and Carbon Monoxide Alarms in the UK. All alarms are designed and built in Ireland specifically to meet the UK standards and regulations.
