Following the success of the Aico Fire Safety Events held in London last year, Aico has announced a series of regional Fire Safety Events throughout September and October.

The Aico Fire Safety Events start at the Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton on 11th September, moving to Leeds, Edinburgh, Bristol and Birmingham before concluding at Milton Keynes on 18th October.

Each event will include a CPD session on Building Regulations for domestic fire detection, taken from Aico’s award winning Expert Installer training scheme, and cover the proposed revisions to the British Standard for domestic Fire Alarm installation BS 5839-6:2013. Solutions for sheltered accommodation will be a key focus, along with the latest innovations in Smoke Alarm technology, including cloud-based monitoring.

Two Aico Mobile Training & Demonstration Units will be in attendance at each event. The Units feature information boards on all Aico technologies, such as AudioLINK data extraction, and alarm ranges with fully functional product attached, along with a virtual video tour of the company’s manufacturing process in Shannon, Ireland.

“The London Fire Safety Events which were run last year were attended by over 160 of London’s Registered Social Landlords” states Aico Managing Director Neal Hooper. “Feedback was extremely positive with guests welcoming it as valuable and informative. We’ve had considerable demand from Social Housing Landlords across the country for something similar. As high quality training and education is at the core of everything we do, we felt it was important to offer more of these events across the UK in 2018.”

Aico, an Ei company, is the market leader in residential fire and CO protection in the UK. All alarms are designed and built in Ireland specifically to meet the UK standards and regulations.
