Maintenance contractor Novus Property Solutions has supported Shorefield Country Park in Hampshire by completely redecorating a striking, green metal canopy which welcomes visitors into the five-star holiday complex.
A team of Novus contractors were called in to freshen up the Milford Room entrance to the award-winning park’s dining and entertainment facilities after the paint work began to flake and peel.
After Novus consulted with a specification expert from paint manufacturer Dulux, the most suitable external metal paint in a distinguished green was specified for the exterior canopy, supports and hand rail.
The Novus team then stripped the metal of its previous coatings and repainted the whole structure over a three week period, working around the park’s guests and adjusting the programme to suit the needs of Shorefield.
As a result of the work, the structure has improved aesthetic qualities and is expected to have a longer lifespan due to reduced corrosion. Shorefield was very happy with the brighter, sleeker canopy at the award-winning park, which boasts restaurants, bars, a health and fitness suite and a day spa among its facilities.
Maria Norris, contracts manager for Novus, said: “The complex remained in use throughout the works and our operatives worked in stages to ensure the facilities continued to run uninterrupted. Work stopped for a week mid-way through for the Easter holidays, and the client was very happy with the work and that we were able to adjust the programme to suit their needs.”
Brett Turner, head of estate management at Shorefield, said: “With the recent painting works carried out by Novus we found the company and staff to be professional, thorough and understanding to the needs of our business.”
