Eco Services, a social enterprise that manufactures outdoor furniture from 100% recycled plastic, has launched a new range of children’s seating for the leisure market called Farmer Harper.
The novelty benches — featuring cute sheep, piglets, frogs and rabbits - are specially designed for tourist and leisure attractions as they are completely weatherproof, low maintenance and splinter-free.
The company, which is part of Realise Futures CIC, has already won orders for its plastic furniture to leisure venues and attractions including leading wildlife attraction Colchester Zoo and Jimmy’s Farm, run by TV personality Jimmy Doherty.
Eco Services recently won the British Chamber of Commerce’s Sustainability Award in the East of England for its innovative products delivering environmental and social benefits.
Business Development Manager, Kieron Lingard commented: “These new children’s benches offer a very durable and sustainable option to a wider range of visitor and tourist attractions. We believe our innovative products offer huge benefits for these businesses as they are completely weather-proof and maintenance free. In addition to the four different types of animals developed, other designs are available on request.
“Our products are made from 100% recycled plastic so companies are also able to show they are looking after the environment.”
Each bench is made from recycled plastic waste including polyethylene bottles, bags and containers which would otherwise be destined for landfill sites. Unlike many of the mixed plastic equivalents, these products can be produced in a wide range of standard colours including bright primary colours as well as the more traditional wood-like finishes.
