The smart Gerflor GTI range from International vinyl flooring and finishing solutions specialist Gerflor has just been stepped-up a notch with the addition of two new electro-conductive floorcovering products.
GTI EL5 Control and GTI EL5 Connect have all the benefits of the GTI range from Gerflor and more.
Showcased recently at Lab Innovations 2015 exhibition, NEC, the ranges were well received by key decision makers in the industry.
GTI EL5 is a multi-layered looselay vinyl tile, 6mm thick, reinforced with two glass fibre grids and will be available in two new additional formats. Each format is available in five stunning colours. The five colours have been selected from the six colours currently available in the Mipolam Elegance EL5 range.
GTI EL5 has, as with all GTI products, a 2mm wearlayer and 6mm thickness overall. This new electro-conductive flooring copes with constant footfall, bearing the heaviest static loads around the clock. It’s one of the toughest vinyl flooring tile ranges on the market and is designed for both industrial and retail areas.
GTI products can also be installed in other areas where toughness is a real necessity. GTI EL5 CONNECT tiles can be installed using an ingenious interlocking system with dove tails and GTI EL5 CONTROL comes in a square format that has welded joints and straight edges for those applications that require clean environments and watertight systems.
The carbon encapsulated granules throughout the full thickness of the products and the conductive backing, together with conductive surface treatment ensure optimal and consistent conductive properties throughout the product’s full life expectancy.
The hugely popular GTI range from Gerflor offers real design flexibility. There is no adhesive to apply and dry, therefore the installation can be done quickly without closing the facilities and losing business. It is reported to be at least twice as fast as glued solutions and suitable for most subfloor
types – ceramics, concrete, resin and irregular surfaces.
The GTI EL5 products have a vinyl homogeneous wearlayer and are manufactured with a continuous high pressure process attaining abrasion group P, comply with EN 649 and offer an outstanding resistance to traffic.
GTI EL5 is also treated with Evercare technology: the latest improvement in polyurethane surface treatment obtained by UV laser cross-linking. The unique Evercare treatment offers easy maintenance and avoids staining of chemical products used in industry and healthcare. This treatment has excellent maintenance characteristics as it requires no wax for life.
Alan Thurston, Industry Manager, Gerflor, said: "These new electro-conductive GTI products represent a real leap forward in technology, delivering very high anti-static properties. And as they both also come with our unique Evercare treatment they will require much less maintenance for the life of the product.”
