Daikin’s innovation on show

Exhibition & Webinar Tue, Mar 22, 2016 4:59 PM

Daikin UK will be exhibiting at Stand N1845 at Ecobuild 2012, which is being held at London’s ExCel Centre from 20th - 22nd March. The stand will reflect Daikin’s position as the leading innovator of heat pump technology and will be bigger, better and more innovative with many differing features.

Indeed, Daikin Industries has just been included in the Thomson Reuters list of Top 100 Global Innovators for 2011, underscoring Daikin’s place as market leader based on continuous innovation. The award is given to companies considered to be top innovators, based on an objective and scientific analysis of global patent information. The same report also points out that these top innovators lead the way in economic growth and sustained marketability.

Also at Ecobuild, Daikin UK will be sharing this industry knowledge by hosting a series of seminars on the stand on topics such as the MCS accreditation process and best practice in measuring commercial energy efficiency.

Daikin UK will also be focusing on the customised product training available for installers at its training centres. Designed to raise standards, set industry benchmarks and help develop product and service expertises, Daikin UK is offering an introduction to the highest quality training and hands-on instruction available at its industry leading technology centres in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Woking and Glasgow.

The stand will be fully equipped with the latest range of products and highly skilled engineers will be available to provide insights to the Daikin UK range. There will also be a chance for attendees to sign up for courses at one of Daikin’s UK’s regional training centres.

Commenting on Daikin’s new training initiatives, Andrew Crown, Commercial Manager, Heating and Renewables at Daikin UK said: “Investment in training is vital if we are to ensure the industry builds a reputation for quality installations that deliver their energy saving potential. To encourage the uptake of any new technology, the public requires reassurances about quality and standards. This is where investment in training comes in.

“To date, Daikin UK has formed working relationships with four vocational training colleges around the country to offer comprehensive and accredited training courses, in addition to our own five already well established, in-house training centres. We are looking forward to giving installers the chance to see exactly what we can offer at Ecobuild.”

Attendees will also be given the opportunity to try out Daikin’s online, interactive experience, Daikin City. This is a new interactive virtual environment, launched by Daikin UK, to indicate the savings that could be achieved through Daikin’s integrated product solutions, when compared with typical standard HVAC systems.

John Durbin, Senior Manager says: “Daikin City is an excellent business tool. The City already includes a major hotel, bank, school and office buildings, retail and convenience stores, all of which visitors can zoom into to try out different options and see what impact each has on the energy calculator, which displays the potential energy savings that could be achieved as part of an overall solution.”

Visitors can expect VIP treatment and a range of interactive and exciting initiatives across the three day event, including a prize draw to win a heat pump * and 1,000 VIP Grand Designs Live tickets for installers to give to their customers to announce Daikin’s sponsorship of Grand Designs Live

*Competition excludes Altherma Flex
